TEA steering arm seals

..on both my 20-85s are leaking like sieves. Does someone know of a source for these? I have an Old 20 catalogue but none there.
I understand that the TO-20 ones will fit, but the TEA ones are different, and have a definite look to them that I want to retain.
(Getting into the restoration thing...)

1 5/16 * 1 7/8 * 7/16 This should be a
common seal, I replaced mine last year.

Jim, I think you mean the oil seals fitted to the steering drop arms where they emerge from the steering box. All you need do is remove an old seal and take it to your local oil seal dealer, (see yellow pages). He should be able to measure up the old seal and supply new ones of the correct inside and outside diameter. I've done this several times in the past with various seals, a lot of them are standard sizes.

Yes those are the ones I mean alright. I am indeed going to do what you suggest in case a generic oil seal supplier can provide them, but these seals are unusual in that they have a fairly large diameter aluminum flange on the outside. I think a normal seal would have worked perfectly well in this location and may have to resort to that, but would prefer the looks of the original, and hence my question.
I get 1.867" o.d. and 1.309" shaft size, but these (to me) are unusual numbers and I am not convinced my calipers are the greatest, so if anyone can give known accurate data it would be appreciated.

Jim, Yes, I see what you mean. I've been unable to get the old type seals like you describe - the old compressed felt and metal seals have now mostly been superceded by modern polymer types. I've replaced my seals using the newer type and once they're in place and painted over you'd be hard pushed to notice the difference. The new type last longer too! From the size aspect - is there a number on the metal face of your seal? If so, quote the number to your dealer and he should be able to find a substitute. Let me know how you get on,
