Oil leaks from spark plugs

My 1954 to-30 had 2 broken exhaust valve springs & plugs & cylinders are wet with oil.So i ordered 4 new exhaust valve springs & 4 new intake valve seals from MF dealer.Installed springs & seal then started it up and there was no more blue smoke. But when i took out the spark plugs they still had oil on all plugs? Next day i adjusted the valves cold to.015 thousands took it for a ride and there was no more blue smoke but oil wes leaking from #1 & #4 cylinder? I had done a compression test prior to this work #1/100psi #2/100psi #3/100 #4/110.does anyone have any info on what is wrong?

Did you install intake valve guide seals on #1&4? When you did this work, did you clean the oil return passages? This sounds like the intake stroke is drawing oil past the guides. If all cyls were oily I'd suspect using multi-weight motor oil(too thin). These fine old engines were not designed for anything but straight HD non-detergent motor oil, 30W30=summer, 20W20=winter.

Ray i installed intake valve guides on all 4 cylinders the original ones were hard and cracked.But the original did look a little bigger?The oil returne holes were all clean.And the oil is pensoil 30w ND.

I suppose it's possible for the pistons to be allowing #1&4 cylinders to draw some oil past the rings since these are the farthest from the center of the intake manifold theoretically having the most vacumn on the intake stroke. You state the new guides seemed bigger than the old ones, can you measure a new one and a valve stem to determine the clearence of the new guides? Also the seals are intended to wipe the stem snuggly to prevent bypassing of oil. The necessitates seals that wipe the stem, resulting in a new seal causing a small resistance when sliding the valve by finger pressure through the seal.

My last post i made a mistake it was the 4 intake valve seals that i replaced. i did not replace any valve guides,i did not remove the head so i used air compressor @50-60 psi to hold valves up.when i did this i could hear air leaking in each cylinder and feel a little air coming up through the push rod holes from each cylinder. also the sparkplugs are motorcraft bt8 plugs wich are cold plugs when compared to the recormended champion plugs?And i do not know if the zenith replacement carb is adjusted correctly? Could it also be fuel to rich?
