Can anyone tell me if it is possible for someone with little experience to overhaul a TO-30 engine using one of the videos offered by ytmag? I would like to restore this tractor myself, starting with the engine, but don't know if I should attempt it or not. Any advise would certainly be welcome!

Go for it these are simple motors and fergusons have a wet sleeve so you don't have to bore out the block. Get your self a new IT manual this will give you tear down and put together info if you run into trouble ask questions here. You will feel great when your done.

The First Engine I Did Was In A 1974 Corvette & It Was A 454. I Did It All But The Machine Work & Its A Great Feeling When It Fires Up The First Time & You Can Puff Out Your Chest & Say I Built That Motor. What You Dont Know, Ask Cause Everyone Started Right Where You Are Starting. Good Luck
