Won't restart

I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have a TEA 20 ferguson that has only 50 hours on the clock since a total motor rebuild. My father and I restored it 4 years ago but as we live in town it does not get much use. After the rebuild we ran it in on a dyno and it ran fine. How ever just recently it has developed a strange habit. When cold it starts and runs easily, but once it has been running for a while and you turn it off it flatly refuses to restart. It will only restart after a fair amount of time and runs as if flooded. Can any one help . Thanks in advance

Try turning the gas petcock off when you switch the ingition off, wait a similar amount of time as before, then restart. If it runs fine you have a fuel leakage problem in the carb. If that has no effect try installing a new condenser-they're cheap and hard to test anyway. If that is not the problem test the coil for heat breakdown. That's my brainstorm for tonight.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this problem?

My fergie does exactly the same thing and it's driving me mad.

Any tips gratefully received.
