I have a TE20 that does not have a temp. guage. This is common for this model. Has anyone installed a guage on this model (TE20)? If so where did you place the sender to activate the guage? On top of the water pump of my tractor there appeared to be a plug. I took it out, but it appears to be solid at the bottom of the hole, hence, no water from system to activate guage. I remember someone saying they installed a guage on a similar tractor on this forum. I would like to communicate with someone that has completed this task. Thanks, Ray A

Ray, You should drill and tap the thermostat housing, below the thermostat for the sender unit, or, replace the housing with one from a TED, (petrol/paraffin), Ferguson. Use the gauge and sender unit from the TED. This shouldn't be a big job.
Peter.

I INSTALLED A GUAGE IN MY TE-20 AND LOCATED THE SENDER IN HOLE BEHIND THE GENERATOR AND JUST BELOW THE CARB. WORKS FINE
