I am trying to find a source for the wire that goes to the headlights and the taillight. It appears that it is in a canvass loom of sorts. Does the wire come in this loom or do you have to snake it through it? Also where the wire goes along side the engine is it still in the canvas loom or is it in a metalic loom of sorts?
Any help or advise would be appreciated.

You can get the loom material by the foot at Restoration Specialties & Supply at 814 467-9842. For one wire, use part # 683. For two wires, use part # 684. They are 35c and 40c, respectively.

The wire to the rear lights, work and tail, are contained in a "loom" from the area under the battery back to right side trumpet where the wiring splits and goes to the left side via over the hydraulic cover, down along the axle trumpet and then to the lower side of the fender and up to light on the outside of left fender. The right side does the same. There was a 4 way connector on the right side back of hydraulic cover for this splitting of the wiring. The front lights wiring ;uses no loom but is routed behind the starter and down to a piece of metal tubing which runs along the oil pan and under the front axle where the wire goes up into the grill and lights. Use 1/4 or 3/16 piece of auto hydraulic tubing about 30 inches long and clamp to oil pan. Snake the wire through before bending to shape around the engine in front and a 90 deg bend in the back up toward the starter. I don't know where to find the loom material so I bought my light harness from Agri-Services, phone 716-937-6618 and ask for Jim. They do real nice repros of wire harnesses for ancient tractors of all kinds. Watch for next two issues of Ferguson Furrows Newsletter for a detailed article on lights for Ferguson tractors.
