Hi guys,I enjoy reading all the posts and have learned alot from searching the archives. Working on 59' model TO-35. What's the difference to a 35? Here in Kentucky we just call these tractors 35 Fergusons, plain or Delux! Checking into oil pressure trouble. Good pressure when cold 50 psi? After running about an hour, drops to near nothing at idle and maybe 20 PSI wide open. Has 20W50 in it. Probably wrong gauge though, maxes at 80 psi? Engine was supposedly top-ended before I got it. Starts, runs smooth with no knocks or noises. Oil pump bevel drive gear is worn some and is missing what I believe is a 1/4-20 set screw. Any ideas here? Removed the cover from the pump and the "lead" gasket was in many pieces. Can I cut one from brass or steel shim stock? I&T manual shows this gasket at 0.007". Can I make it 0.005" to compensate for some of the wear on the actual pump gears? Good place to buy this gasket? will it hurt to flip over the idler? The back side of the gear looks much better than the leading edge. Finally, I found what looks like the "cage" for the governors in the oil pan! I didn't find any balls though. Could this cage have been from an earlier failure? I didn't notice any engine speed problems before I pulled the pan. From what I can see from below the cover is still on the gevernors. What does a "bad" governor do? Sorry, so many ? but I think you guys can handle them! Thanks for reading this. I also have hydro troubles but that is another story!
