My 1951 T0-30 is having trouble with the pto it is stuck out of gear, last winter while snow blowing with the tractor and a three point rearmounted blower it popped the pto out of gear luckily it was a minimal snow winter and it only happened once early one morning. The tractor has been used with a 5 foot brush hog but not for the last two seasons well this second cutting I had the ford three point 5 bar rake on it cleaning up the ditches on the county road and it popped out of gear again so i put it into gear and it ground bad like it never did before and it was very difficult to push into gear but it did, well it went about 40 more feet than it popped out again and refused to go back in. Took the oil out last night and the right side cover for a inspection and saw it nice and clean as far as I could see anyways so kinda thinking that I have wore out the hyd pump on it? I'm thinking pulling the bottom cover off the back part of the transmision and out pops the pump RIGHT??? I know I've got to get a manual but that is proving to be a difficult task so I'm still on that but want to get moving on the tractor. what input has anybody got. Also can I improve this to a live pto like a TO-35 since this is apart or is that wishfull thinking to? This tractor is the most used piece i got and it's like having a broken arm now. HELP Thanks!
