Well after about a year of searching I am finally about ready to start the reassemably stage of this little project. Like most TO_30's it had water in the oil so I pulled it down, hoping I could get by with a simple overhaul, but no it was like most and the block was cracked (bad from the top to the and thru the main journal). I finally found a place that repairs (welds not pinned) and got a new block. So now I am about ready to start putting her back together. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks on the reassemably process. And any tips on where to buy parts. Found the complete overhaul kit with valves guides springs minus the bearings for $415. Is that about average? Oh I still need to come up with crank, I may just have mine built up. Looking forward to comments and thanks for your assistance.
