How do I tell a TO20 from a 30? I have a TO30. A local dealer has an old Fergie. He thinks it a TO20. The rear wheels are smaller than mine if that means anything.
It's pretty rusty but the tin is pretty solid.
He wants $2100.00

All the to30s Iv'e Seen Have the air breather intake through the dash and the 20s don't.

Now I'm confused. My TO-20 has the internal oil filter BUT it has the air intake in the dash. My ID plate is missing, but I've always thought it was a TO-20 due to the oil filter.

Hi Jerry,
Two things come to mind... 1) The number on the block on the TO30 is Z129 while the TO20 is Z120
2) The TO30 has an external oil filter canister. while the TO20 doesn't.
