My T020 ran over some rough bumps with a mower attached and the 3pt lifted on its own. Poltergeist or real problem?

I could be off base here so someone correct me if I go astray.
I've had this happen to me in the past where I would have the mower height balanced "just so" and then I go though a valley/ditch or over the edge of a decline and when I get back on the flat the height is off. I think there could be some interaction with the 3 pt draft control feedback if you were using a solid top link and the bumps were big enough. Although it shouldn't make the lift go all the way up the draft control could try to adjust the height of your mower just like it would a plow. If you are using a solid top link make sure it is adjusted so the link pin is in the middle of the slot on the mower mount. This way it can float without putting pressure on the master control spring (where the top link attaches to the tractor)
If the lift went all the way up I would suspect a problem with the fork retracting spring (the one that pulls the control valve out of the pump)
You might also want to see if your 3 pt control lever is loose enough that it could move when going over bumps.

When the pto is engaged and the clutch is let out the lift goes right to the top as if you pulled the lever to the max up position. Then after a while when the pto is off it will drift down mabe 10 minutes.

There have been several posts concerning this problem lately. Back up a few days and see a post titled " Hydraulic on T020 won't come down " by Dennis. He got some good suggestions. Sounds like something similar.
