I'd do a search for "Fine Home Building" magazine. I built my house mostly from reading four years of this publication in the '80's. Good luck.

Tim;
Thanks for the reply. I'm also a subscriber FHB
magazine- have been for about 20 years, too. I
have a fixer that I'm currently working on after
hours and occasionally questions come up where a
forum such as this one could be of great benefit. For example, I'd like to hear thoughts or
opinions on house wraps (Tyvek), or stain for
siding, or masonary tips 'n tricks, tilework
specifics, flashing considerations etc. You get
the idea. I'm a retired remodeling contractor of
20 years and still learning...espcially w/ the TO-35!

I've been doing architectural design and building houses for a few years. If you find the forum email mail me, I'd like to participate. In the mean time, ask away.

Tim;
Thanks for the offer. I'll keep it in mind. If
you're interested, :"ShepFL" responded to my post
about forums on the ToolTalk board on 6/18/02. He
provided a list of construction-related sites that
he's collected. I did a quick scan and didn't see
any forums though. If I find one, I'll let you know.
