Hello, Fellow Fergie Fans!

I just got done installing a set of points in my TO-20. First time I ever did points- I have a question:

On the breaker plate, there is a screw on the right that comes completely out- then there is a screw on the left (closer to the pivot)that is oblong, and adjusts the point gap- is this screw indeed for setting the gap- or does it perform another function- such as dwell adjustment?(In which case, I screwed up).

The tractor runs fine the way I did it..... just wanna be sure.

Thanks everyone!

It adjusts the points just like you said. Lots of other rigs simply use a notch to pry on. You should be all set.

Thanks! I had been expecting the notch- but I was thinking to myself: "This is a great way to set point gap- Harry Ferguson was a genius!".
