Is the water pump a DIY repair project? I thought I fixed the leak problems in my TO 35 by replacing the gaskets at the thermostat and top of block, only to find out it still leaks. Seems to be coming from water pump area. It is hard to pin point where from, but I did notice water coming from the pulley cowling after engine is off. I asssume there is a water pump problem. I notice in the MF service manual it calls for special tools to dismantgle and assemble the water pump. Would I be better off buying a rebuilt one? Appreciate any advice! Thanks Terry

Terry, It sounds like the internal seal in the water pump has gone. You can make this a DIY job if you have an hydraulic press and the appropriate manual. Pump repair kits are a lot cheaper than an exchange pump. However, if you havn't got the equipment or the time to do the job, for what they cost a rebuilt pump would be the best option.
Peter.
