Ok i bragged on my TO 20 in an earlier post and see what it got me?Well the ole hag kinda let me down. The tractor would start up and run for about a minute with the idling flucuating.I took the carb off three times and cleaned it out and it still did the same thing. Finally i said the heck with this, sounds like it was starving for gas so i went and bought a complete carb kit and installed it.Guess what?Still the same ole problem,i decided to to take the distribitor cap off and check the points. They looked good.By this time i was banging my head(not actually)so i decided to spray some carb cleaner down in the distribitor under the points plate and that cured my problem.I take it that something was jumping fire.I had a tractor mechanic tell me that if it wasn't the carb then i might want to pull the timing cover off and check the governor.Boy am i glad that i used my shade tree technology.

It's been said before, but maybe bears repeating that most "carb problems" are in the ignition. Thanks for the post.
