I have a feguson 35 tractor with a model # TO35 and serial # sdm195972, it has a 4 cylinder diesel. What kind of diesel is it, I've been told its a perkins and I've been told its a continental, plus where can I find an oil filter and a fuel filter for it. Please e-mail me as well as posting answers at [email protected]

Thank you

The engine is a Standard 23C (2.3 litre displacement). Made by Standard Motor Co. A good solid engine, about 35 hp, replaced about '59 with the easier starting Perkins 3 cyl, about 38 hp.

The oil filter is MF part no 894976M1, Wix 51302, Fram CH820PL. The IH B414 D and 424 take the same filter.

The fuel filters on mine were cartridges inside heavy metal cans. The longer filter is about 3 1/2 h x 2 3/4 with a 1 5/16 hole. MF 1850450M2, Wix 33194, AC FF23, Fram C11816 PL.

The wider one contains a metal cannister, 2 15/16 h, 3 7/16 d, about 3/4 holes. MF 1012006M2, CAV 44 or 7111/44. Wix 33114, AC ACD50.

NAPA should have equivalents.

To Jack in NB. Do you know whether the 35 Standard diesel will fit in place of the original (1949)TEA Standard gas engine? What all would be involved in a retrofit? New starter, filters? What about flywheel and clutch? Front axle support, Radiator? Thanks.
