Wanted-auxiliary light plug

I am trying to find an original plug-in(male) that was made to fit the auxiliary light socket(female) which Feguson placed just below the tail light on some Ferguson tractors. This socket allowed plugging in a trouble light or a red/amber warning light, both of which were offered by Ferguson as accessories. Does anyone have one to sell or know where I might find one? I'm interested in either the plug-in or the entire accessory light(plug-in, cord and light) whichever might be available.

Joe, I am doing some research on Ferguson lights and I was wondering if you have any pictures of the auxiliary and trouble lights and how were these lights used? e.g. did the trouble light have a long cord to allow it to be use around the tractor and implements? What was the aux light used for as opposed to the tail light? I am looking for original lights myself so if you run across any you don't need let me know. Thanks.

Phil,

Yes, I have pictures from a Ferguson manual that I could send you if you want to give me a fax no. or a US mail address. I don't have an electronic picture at the moment.

The trouble light included a long cord for use around the tractor. The warning light also had a long cord and was mounted on a bracket next to the tail light with a wing nut for easy removal. It seems a little redundant to have the warning light with the tail light but since it had a long cord on it, I'm guessing it was available to be placed on implements for road transport.

Have you checked ebay for Ferguson lights? I have seen the headlights advertised there occasionally.

Joe, I find your info very interesting and would like to get the pictures of these lights and installation. I have Ferguson manuals also, but no pictures. What manuals are you referencing? My address in 3628 Manchester Way, Kent WA 98032. Thanks a lot. Yes I have watched ebay and only found Ford tail lights for sale. I have the headlamps and work light.

Hi Phil,

I'll get copies of the pictures in the mail to you right away. One of the pictures comes from an owner's manual for the Ferguson Model 40; the other comes from a parts manual for the F-40. Obviously, I'm a F-40 fan!

Phil,

I'm not familiar with the TO-30 parts book. I'm not sure when Ferguson started offering these lighting accessories. I grew up around a 20 and a 30 but I don't remember if they had the socket for the plug-in, or if they did, what kind of accessories were offered. When you get the pictures, let me know is there's anything similar for the TO-30.

Joe, got your pictures. Thanks much. The auxiliary light part breakdown is identical to my TO-30 parts book, the page is not exactly the same but the light is the same. The "40" tractors lights appear to be somewhat different than the 30 . They appear smaller and more streamlined. The tail light is radically different. I can't tell if there is chrome bezel by your picture, but the 30 was painted. The fender brackets look the same. Appreciate seeing the pictures of the auxiliary light and trouble light as my book shows the wiring but no lights(except for the auxiliary light on the accessories page). Don't suppose you know where any "spare trouble or auxiliary lights are to be found??

Phil,

Glad you got the pictures. I'm looking around for the auxiliary lights but I suspect they were fairly rare. Hopefully both of us will stumble on some sometime. Good luck.

OK, I will. My TO-30 parts book shows the connections in the wiring exploded view but never shows pictures or lists them in the parts list.
