I just bought a fairly good TO-20, my first tractor. In checking things over I noticed that the holes in the plates just behind the big top link coil spring are worn. They should be 3/4" diameter, to receive the pin that secures the tractor end of the top link, but they are enlarged to an elliptical shape. A 3/4" pin sort of slops back and forth (front to back) in the hole. How worried should I be? The tractor will get relatively light use, a bit of tilling anound the edge of my duck pond to prepare for planting of millet. What, if anything can be done about the problem of these enlarged holes?

I doubt it will cause you any problems. However, if I understand the piece you mean, you can unscrew it and replace it if you really want to. The threads for the end piece are inside the big spring. Sometimes these threads are not easily unscrewed if they haven't been turned in quite a while. Don't put too much pressure on them as you can break the forks inside the housing. Some PB Blaster over a couple of days might loosen them if you decide to remove that piece. As to a replacement, the bone yards are probably best bet.
