TO-35 Tires

Would appreciate any help on this. I recently restored a 1956 TO-35 Deluxe and bought 12.4 X 28 "cleated" tires for it. I have been looking for a set of "turf tires" and a spare set of rims/centers as well. I came across a set of 13.6 X 28 turf tires that were "like new" and at a price that was very reasonable. According to the tire charts, this size tire is "the next size larger" than what the manual calls for. Do you think that these larger size tires will work on the tractor; and do you think that they will create any unforseen problems? I will begin the search for 12" rims and appropriate centers, if you folks "in the know" give me your "blessings", otherwise I'll have a great set of turf tires and tubes for sale in the classifieds! Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Hi Jim

I have 13.6" truf tires on my TO20. The rims are 11" and a tube must be used on 6 loop rims.I haven't had any problems so far.They are a little tall and will speed up the tractor slightly.I run about 10 psi to get more surface area on the ground.

Jim,I have 13.6" cleated ties on my MF 35 Diesel. They seem to fit the rims ok. They are a little closer to the fenders with the wheels adjusted in but no other problems...hope this helps

Thank you both for your quick responses, I feel bettter about my purchase, and am confident that the tires will work. . . Now to find a spare set of rims/wheels!
