I found a 51 TO-30 that had locked up. This man tore it down to see what the problem is.
He found the oil tube had broke off. The crank is ruined. The tractor as a whole looks fair.
What is this tractor worth as is, knowing that the engine will have to be completly rebuilt with all new parts. I can rebuild it myself , I est. the parts around $1500 ? Also would need new tires. Thanks for any comments.

I agree with Bill Mc. I think $500 is enough based on what you said. You will find something else you can't tell about yet, such as steering, etc., so plan on more than you think. I'm assuming you have the clutch figured in your parts total. At $500 you can get your money back on parts if push comes to shove.

Well I'd say your going to have $2000 in it to get it going(engine, tires, paint, fluids). In my area this tractor brings 2200 to 3000 in good shape.$500 to $700 would be ok.JUST MY TWO PENNIES
