I have not been smoking Wacky Backy or snorting crack. I have really and truly gone and done it!! I finally got everything together and assembled and fabricated and installed on the old beat up 8N that I have been working on for about the last two weeks. My grandson helped me get it all together today and we put the wheels back on the tractor and installed a plastic gas tank so that we could test the live hydraulics attachment and I'm telling you it is like driving a different tractor. Just go to the end of the row and stop with the clutch depressed, pull up on the touch control lever and up comes the lift just like magic. Put the PTO in gear and it will come up twice as fast as it used to when you are moving with the clutch engaged. You can take the bush hog or post hole digger out of gear and lift it so you can transport it down the road etc and it will not drop because the live hydraulic attachment is still doing it's job as long as the engine is running. It does not have a cranshaft driven pump that is sticking out in front of the tractor to get knocked off. Nothing of the original factory equipment or parts of the tractor are modified. It can be installed in about one or two hours according to your mechanical ability and common hand tools you have to work with. No drilling or welding. Just put it on and you will be in "HOG HEAVEN"! It really does work even better than I imagined it would. I plowed up my garden with it today and it just amazed me how much better you can handle the 8N when you can lift the implement with the clutch pushed down and the tractor standing still. It comes up at about the same speed as it would with the original PTO pump operating and twice as fast when both are operating at the same time. The implement will jump up! No kidding! I haven't arrived at a price for the kit I plan to market yet but I can assure you that it will be very affordable and well worth the money for the versatility it will give the N tractor It will work on any of the tractors which have the Ferguson system lift or the 8N lift. 9N/2N TO/TE/TEA etc Ferguson tractors can use it. I am working on the bracket for the adaptiation to the 9N tractor at this time while I have one out at the shop for a pattern and will have it available too soon along with a version for the Ferguson tractor. I promise.
