I have a tractor which is missing serial plate. Plate was located just above throttle lever which are both below and in front of the steering wheel base.

Engine # S77247E (this is the only stamped number on machine).
"740" is cast on front right side of block
Also cast on block is "DA9189" above "56016"

rt side 3ph link has "C" above "10316N2" above "JCSB".

Below tractor seat is "1DA8392" on rt side and "8508F" on left side.

Steering column shows "8537S".

Hood badge is "ferguson system" Hood hinges forward.

Rear axle shows "LEVS" both sides facing rear.
Left axle shows "7RA" and "F13" facing forward.

Thanks for your help,
Phil

One of two things. The tag on the hood reading "Ferguson System" belonged to ford. He put that on his tractors, Fergusons just said "Ferguson". So either you have a ford(not sure of model) or you have a Ferguson with a tag or hood on it that dosen't belong.

Hi Phill, The way you can tell a TE20 from a TO20 with just a glance... The TE (English) steering gear box and transmission shift cover is a one piece casting where the TO has a stamped steel transmission shift cover plate seperate from the steering gear box. The TE shift lever has a chrome knob on the shift lever that is rivited on.
