Your should file a complaint (on-line) with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (www.ic3.gov). IC3 is a Federal Agency who will forward the complaint on to Authorities in Tennessee. Also, you should file with your local Law Enforcement. Additionally, you can place a comment on the following website: www.ripoffreport.com (non-profit) which will serve to get the word out on the person. Since you are in Deleware and the person who cashed your check is in Tennessee, the case officially becomes a Federal Case (because of taking place across State Lines). 3) Some Law Enforcement Agencies are new to the idea of Computer Crimes (Internet Fraud, etc.) and are afraid to tackle those cases. Bottom line, you may even have to file a complaint with the Law Enforcement Agency in which the suspect is a resident (City or County Police Department).
