There is a big difference in the value of an original manual and a reprint no matter how the good the reprint is done.If the ad clearly states that the manual being offered is an original and in fact its a reprint then it is fraud.

The manuals that UPS089 is selling on E-bay are of equal quality to the ones you get when you order one from JD, and usually cost less. The only differance I've seen is his don't have the three colered cover with a picture of a modern key on the front. As for the original parts catalogs , why would anyone want one if all you want is to save some time at the dealership when you need to order parts? I'd rather have a nice clear reprinted catalog to use rather than some pig-eared grease stained original that bears the finger prints of every mechanic who ever paged through it. The original service manuals and parts catalogs have gone the way of the original sales literature, they have become impractically priced for the average user. I live half way across the country from this guy and wouldn't know him if I met him on the street, but I appreciate his products. I hope he continues. If someone is a collector of original parts & service literature, they should be sharp enough to know you don't buy most of these pieces for 29.95.

You missed the point by a mile. I (we) never said that there was something wrong with reprints. It is the fact that he sold the same manuals as originals in 2005 and early 2006 and he attitude is horrible. Anytime somebody leaves just a hint of neutral feedback he slams them with negative. How is that right? AND HOW DOES HE HAVE THAT MANY MANUALS LOST IN THE MAIL WHEN OTHER SELLERS THAT SELL REPRINTS DONT?

My intention here is not ruffel more feathers, but, in the last month I bought a 14T parts manual from UPS089 on ebay. His add states clearly that it is a reprint. It is, I feel good quality, I was pleased with the it when I received it via United States Postal Service. He shipped the very next day after he received the payment. I have the add saved if anybody out there doubts it, and can foward it on, also I'm not a friend of his and live a few states away!

I think this fourm should be used in reguards to YT issues, Ebay has there process.

Thanks, just my point of view guys. Brian

I am not talking about last month. I am talking about 2005. Look at his feedback (click 200 per page and go to the third or fourth from the end) and you can see that multiple times he had feedback saying that the books were not original. Like this one. "AS DESCRIBED, BUT APPEARS TO BE A REPRINT, NOT ORIGINAL, THUS THE GOOD CONDITION"

This was just a random sample in which he leaves on the buyers NEGATIVE feedback "ITEM WAS AS DESCRIBED."

Bottom line: he lied to us and many others about the manuals being original and they were not and he cant do anything wrong in his eyes.

Funny thing is that he called us last year because somebody told him that we might have something he was looking for. Like I said he actually called us after I asked for my money (and did not receive) back in late 2005. Even if we did have what he was looking for, he would never get it.

I know your not taking sides, but if you think that he was a good seller, then invite him on this board to answer some of these questions.

All I'm simply saying is my purchase in 2007 was as described, and that this is Yesterdays Tractors, not, Ebay.

Before I bid on an item I read all feed back and accept the risk of getting burned buy the seller, and I have!

It would be nice it were the old days when we could take people at there word.

Brian

I bought a couple of manuals from him a few years ago. His sales tactic then was misleading as he listed as good originals. They were REPRINTS. I accepted them as they were cheap copies and let it go although I thought he misled in the listing. There were a number of "complaints" at and around that time and he changed his listing to include "reprint". Of course I checked his feedback and saw how he handled other feedback and just left pos. Anything else would have resulted in neg feed back for me.

Cheaters never win I guess.
