Bought AR. Was said to be a nice running tractor. The oil pump was broke, gas tank leak, no rad hoses, water pipe on top of head had many holes in it, rear rims rusted bad, rad damaged, starter was there but no parts to make it work, tractor was not running because it had a new oil filter but no oil in the filter, engine stuck and this is just what we found so far.

We recently bought a load of 5 old John Deere tractors from Patrick, We are happy with the 4 old JD"D"s and an old AR. The man told us what to exepct and what he told us turned out to be true. Thanks Jack,

Bought a JD D from Him. He said that I would be running. He said that he had it running. There was no waw that the tractor had been running for many years because the radiator was dry because the radiator cap had rusted to the neck and was destroyed while being removed. The cap and neck will have to be replaced before trying to get the supposed "running tractor" running
The gas was dead and smelled like paint varnish. He said that the brakes worked, they dont. He said that the clutch works well. It binds up while being engaged. I have heard other people praise him but I wasnt happy. Just my 2 cents

Ditto on 2 of 4 Ds that we got. Not exactly what I thought I was getting. I suppose that I deserved it because I didn't go up and see them with my own 2 eyes.
