I live in New Zealand and have just started restoring a Farmall DED3 tractor. I am trying to get in touch with anyone else who has had anything to do with these tractors. As far as we know, my one was made in 1952. These tractors(215) were imported to New Zealand in 1954 and we think they were made under licence to IHC in France or Germany. No-one here knows much about these tractors so any help would be very helpful

Hello Mark. These tractors were fairly popular in the Netherlands, especially on dairy farms. Many were equipped with a belly mounted sickle mower.
I think the DED3 was one of a family of diesel tractors, probably the first diesel family built in Neuss, as Guy Fay correctly said. This series was followed by the D430, D436 and D440 tractor series. Reply if you have further specific questions; I might be able to provide you with more info. Regards, Hendrik.

This tractor was made in Germany at IH's Neuss Works (no liscense involved). Here's a link to a site that offers reprinted literature for the German built IH tractors. The owner does speak English, but may be slow to return e-mail due to high work load.
