SH vs the JD7000 update

Thanks to your replies, and after sleeping on the problem that the SH wouldn't raise the JD planter all the way up, I went back to the drawing board today. Hooked up the 966 to it. First time I raised it it slammed full up, but then started a smooth descent back down . The 9 always held it up perfect, even overnight. So I tried it again, same result, this time the markers quit. I figured one more time and I will watch for hyd fluid out the front frame of the planter. Didn't wait long, there it was. Pulled the marker assembly, a flood in there, ruptured marked cylinder hose. Replacement from the green store, install. Change couplings again and hook up the SH. Worked perfect! As someone said you do have to get up on the rpm though. So it wasn't the red tractor at all, it was the green planter that was the culprit. Now for two more days of dry and warm!

Glad it was reasonably simple... I thought that green paint was supposed to make everything better, though... LOL
