140 distributor rebuild

Trying to rebuild a distributor for a 140.It is the original distributor.What is the best way to get the brass bushing and seal out of the distributor housing? thanks for the help.

Motion Industries, or any good bearing shop. they can also be made easily from oilite bronze stock. If the shaft is worn, replace it, or use a bushing long enough to be on a unworn spot. JimN

Find a cheap 1/4" drive small socket close to the diameter of the bushing. Grind it flat on the end touching the bushing, and use an extension to push it out. A big vice is nice, or tapping with a brass hammer. JimN
