WARNING!!!! You must use a backing plate of some sort!!!! These buggers can be hard to get off and if you just use a puller and brute strength, you will break a piece of the very old, brittle, cast pully off. I tried this and ended up having to get a neighbor to torch mine off. Distribute the force with a backing plate. The cub service man. has a picture of one, You could make one without much difficulty.

That hydraulic puller is very nice. I have removed a bunch with a LARGE two jaw puller and the bearing separator (backing plate). The backing plate is the key. In my Farmall "formative years" I broke the first pulley I tried to remove with just a puller and not the backing plate. Expensive lesson. Heat can also be required.

You need a puller like the this one Bigdog made.
You need to use a split bearing separator behind the pulley so you don't break the pulley. You local metal shop can make one and use your bottle jack or hydraulic ram. Hal
