I have a complete 47 H motor that had valves ground and plained. Runs very good, no smoke. What is it worth? A neighbor wants it but, I don't know where to set a price. Thanks AJB

AndrewZ is probably pretty close....I saw a complete motor (everything including the generator: just drop in and you're set to go) on e-bay asking 700$, but he never got a bid.

AndrewZ's range sounds pretty good.

If it is a complete, ready to bolt in tractor, I would say in the 450-500 range. If it is just a long block, no manifold, mag, carb, generator and such probably in the 300-350 range. I am with Andrew, I am not an expert, just an opinion.

I like AndrewZ"s numbers. If it is in ready to install (out of tractor) it is about right. Some depends on labor components. JimN

I would say 350 - 550 depending if you get every thing with the engine carb, gen, gov, manifold, air cleaner etc.... If the compression is good i would say around 500 or soo if fair? depends on how much you want to sell it or how much he wants it.. I just keep in mind that a good running H can be found for 1000 - 1200 soo just my thoughts.. im not any shape or form of an expert.

Andrew

It's complete, has an almost new water pump, not rebuilt. Good compression, I took it out and put a 300 motor in. AJB
