I was told the top of my oil filter canister leaks on my H because it has been over-tightened. Is there anything I can do to remedy this?

The top should be smoothly domed. If it has been smashed down, caved in you will need to get a replacement. I have them but will need to know if it is the short or tall filter.

Have you tried a new washer?

You can also heat up the old copper washer with a torch and it will soften it up again.

It will seal better when it is soft.
