Can anyone help me? I recently was given a IH tractor with model # FC stamped on it. The other identification I have on it is serial number 20773 and some numbers stamped on the floor: 351132-RI and 11-18-R. What do these numbers mean?
What model and year is this?
When I look at the pictures I see that their front wheels are together, where as mine are spaced apart. Why?
I'm brand new to this and could use any help

Regarding your question of front end style. It was dependant upon what kind of cultivating work that was to be done. There were actually 3 types. Single front wheel, narrow 2 wheel and wide axle. One type of front may be unusual in one part of the country but common else where.

Glen you have a 1948 Farmall C. Both the serial number and the stamping of R indicate 1948. FC prefix was for the Farmall C.

Thanks for the information Red. I live up in Canada and I've been using it to push snow in my driveway.

I had a 1949 C back in 1990 but I was always was banging my knees on the steering wheel when mounting. It didn't have enough power for my needs but it was a good running tractor.
