Someone must have wanted this MD pretty bad!

"We got it to fire once, but that was it. I would think it would run with a little tinkering. I have no idea if anything works on the gas side, I have not tried it."

hey guys, i just bought a great running farmall 400d a few months ago for 2200. everything works on it except the lights and two guages. the only problem i have had with it was the radiator. i thought i was getting a steal with just 2200.

The prices that some of this stuff is bringing is ridiculous. I bought my MD 12 years ago and it was in slightly worse shape than that one and I paid $500 for it. I thought I was getting taken then. That was back when nobody would touch an IH gas-start diesel. Now they"re "collectible".

That is very likely, there was an MD and a super MD that sold earlier on ebay for considerably less and they ran better too!

The tractor was mine. I could not believe it either. I will assure you there were no shills. I had on there a month ago and it sold for about $1500, but the guy never paid. I thought that was crazy enough.

Well that makes 2 bidders willing to pay a bunch. Makes our investments more valuable as well. Was there anything odd, unique or rare on the tractor? And of course, the most important question is...have you seen the color of the money yet?

The only thing unique about it is the Heisler live PTO/hand clutch. No, I have not seen any money yet, but I talked to him on the phone and he seems very legit.

I just saw a 400D going for less than $2000 so far. But I forgot to see how much time it had left.
