I agree with ScottyHOMEy,
If the seat is the issue, it is either cracked (unfixable) or can be dressed with a drill that is sharpened to a point that is "pointier than a regular bit at 118 degrees, but not like a pencil. Probably about 85 degrees. used with finger turning only through a piece of rubber tubing that fits into the threads and keeps the drill centered. Do not take off much at all, it is soft. Use a jewelers loupe to get a close look at the seat before taking action. JimN

I did notice that the new needle valve had a longer tip than the one that came out of it. More cone shaped. Should I dress the seat or file down the needle? Thanks for your help these are good ideas oldiorn29

I fixed the one on my 10-20 just like Jim said. I also repacked the needle with a neoprene "o"ring instead of the rope packing. It works great and just don"t tighten the nut too tight. To get a good seal on the seat, just remember you need a different angle than the needle and it has to be done very straight. The needle will burnish itself into the seat and seal tight if the angles are right.

Could be the seat for the needle. Could also be as simple as repacking it.
