Scotty I forgot to mention that mine has the fast hitch and also the auxiliary control valve. I didn't realize that there is all most no room between the pluming for the valve and the starter. Never paid any attention I guess. I was able to get it back enough to roll it and get at the last screw. I cleaned it up. It didn't look bad to me we will see. I guess I should try and clean up the mating surface between the starter and block while I have it loose too. I went a head and checked the generator and it was only reads 2.3 volts between A and ground so I pulled it and will take it and the switch in to town tomorrow. thanks for the help. Larry

Well . . . if I helped at all you're certainly welcome! It is pretty crowded there along the right side of that hydraulic block, ain't it?

If you're taking the generator in, you might as well take the starter motor in along with the switch. It could be a bad switch, but the other possibility is that the stud on the body of the starter that the switch connects to is worn and even a new switch wouldn't work. No way to tell that without having the starter, too.

Let us know how you make out.
