HAVE OLD IH TRACTOR NOT SURE WAT YEAR IT IS HAS CAST #353898R1 4 CYL GAS GEAR DRIVEN NEED PARTS TO REBUILD ONE OR FIND A REBUILT ONE OR GOOD USED ONE MY SHAFT IS WORE OUT AND SO IS BOTTOM GEAR HAS 32 TEETH APPROX 5 INCH OVER ALL DIST LENGTH FROM BOTTOM OF SHAFT TO TOP OF DIST WITH NO CAP GEAR IS HALF INCH THICK 1 INCH ACROSS NEED HELP FROM SOMEWHERE

You will need to bring No1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke so you can time the distributor
to the engine whenever you get the parts you need.

Thats a distributor housing # thats used on letter series and later, very common. The distributor code and # are located on the outside of mounting flange where the 2 clamps go that you losen to adjust timing. Should be able to find a distributor or used parts easy. If you get another shaft, check the # stamped on rotor part to see if it matches yours. If not the total advance will be different. If no match make the replacement shaft advance limit hole the same by enlarging if smaller or filling hole and resize if larger, or carfuly drilling the correct size hole 180 degrees from original hole. The 32 teeth gear is common also.

THIS IS ALL I COULD FIND ON THE SIDE NOT SURE TURNS CLOCKWISE AND HAS EITHER 10S OR 1CS OR 15S CANT TELL WAT MODEL TRACTORS WOOD FIT THIS ???

There will be a number and a letter on the plate. The number is the degrees of advance. The letter is either L or R fot right or left hand rotation.

I CALLED EM THEY SAID HAVE NO PARTS THAT I NEED SHAFT AND GEAR NOT AVAILABLE MY SHAFT ALL WORE OUT AND BUSHINGS
