My 1976 Loboy 185 ran great one week and the next it was very hard to start. I had to choke the carb with my hand to get it to slowly begin to fire. I have a new distributor cap and cleaned the points and have spark at the plugs. I Used just the carb choke for awhile, then pulled the plugs and they were not even wet. That is when I used my hand. It has good intake suction. Is there a problem with the carb or fuel bowl/Fuel ine?

Long shot. could be air blockage at fuel bowl so gas doesn"t flow through fuel line. Did you empty then replace fuel bowl? Did you let it fill up before clipping it all the way? This gets the air out.

Good luck.

You need to remove a plug on the bottom of the carburetor. Hold a clean container under the carb. and see if there's a full flow of gas. If there isn't you need to remove the gas line at the carb and see if there's good flow of gas from the gas line. You may have dirt in the gas tank.
Take a good flashlight and look in the tank for rust or dirt covering the outlet. There may be a screen at the carb inlet behind the gas inlet fitting that your fuel line is connected to. It could be blocking fuel if its full of rust or dirt. Hal
