How shiny is your car?

I wanted to move the T/A - Clutch housing from the garage to the barn, where the back half of this tractor is. I drove my other tractor up to the garage and it died. The nut on the distributor terminal was loose and when I tighten it with my fingers, the wire broke. Quick, easy fix. Started tractor and moved it toward the other door. Pulled the lever to raise the 3pt, oops, wrong one. You would have thought I was operating a steam engine. It shot a cloud of hydraulic fluid out the right QD. Got the housing safely to the barn. Holly wanted to go to town and I needed to get food and parts also. Got in the car and the back window is wet. We had about 4" of rain yesterday, but this wasn't water. Got home again, changed clothes, got the housing installed, and washed the car. I did some painting last weekend and did something wrong to my back. It feels so much better now, that I feel like I have had a great day. Hope a few of you have had a good one also.

Got 2 cars that are ready for antique plates, never been in snow that I use only in the summer. Get washed every 2 weeks. Get complimented once and a while about them. Then have a car and pickup that I will say look like the uglyist cars in the town, get washed when it rains.

My pickup runs just as well dirty or clean.

I agree, but this is the third wash this year, already.
I sold my last car as junk, to a co-worker, who raced it three times in an endurance race in Minnesota. He had the pedal to the floor for each race. The body was totally shot, but the engine and the tranny never ever gave up.
87 Buick Century with the 2.5 ---253,000 miles
This car is a 94 Grand Prix with 250,000 miles. If the body doesn't fail, I will see at least 300,000 before I give up on it.
