I was watching tv and seen a commerical for GRABIT. They claim that it will remove any stripped bolt or screw in seconds. Has anyone used it? It looks like it would save alot of time tring to get out stripped and damaged bolts. I have a broken idle mixing jet on my 44 H and would like to put in a new one but there is nothing to grab as it is busted flush.

I've have a 2piece set. I see they are offering a 3 piece set now. Yes I have used mine with a fair amount of sucess. The broken bolt or fastener has to be centered punched correctly, & the fastener has to be drilled straight with the grabit bit. & proceed as according to the instructions, AND THEY LIVE UP TO THEIR WARRINTY (SP) If you break it send them back the broken extractor & they will replace it. Wife got my set a couple a years ago. for Christmas. Dave F.

Hi Jonny, I was at the evil walmart the other day and saw they have a freeze spray in cans in the auto section for getting out bolts. The combo of freezing and heating will get almost anything unstuck including pistons! Been using my freezer for small things, but tractors don"t fit in the freezer too well. Lol!! My Uncle used to use freon years ago to unstick stuff like my cousins Opel GT engine.

I have not used GRABIT. I drill them out with progressively larger bits, but you already probably know that approach.
