Im taking apart a hydrualic cylinder off of a koyker loader, not sure if thats the brand of cylinder, its off of the grapple. I need to replace some seals but I got so far, now stuck. Came apart real easy but what I need to know if this barrel is pressed on, screwed on, or just stuck and needs a little (or big) tap. If its screwed on, what should be used to get it loose, with out marring (the nut on the end is loose and tightens to the barrel). Any ideas. Thank you

There's probably a squashed "O" ring or other seal INSIDE, and that's what's restricting it from simply falling off.

If it is anything like the ones I've worked on, whole works slides on up against a shoulder on that ram. You should be able to just tap it off and then split it apart. They seem to grow together over time.

Be sure you get your leathers pointing the correct direction.

Just throwing out a couple of ideas. I do not know how it is attached so take with a grain of salt. if it lookes pressed , you might take a brass punch and try to get it off that way. if it looks threaded , migh rap it with a peice of innertube or some heavy tape then try some channel lock pliers to keep from marring it. hoprfully some one will have a sure fired method for you

Hi, That should just slide off, like you said don't leave any marks. Good luck, Chuck
