I have a Super M I need to move about 10 miles. I don't have a trailer big enough for it, can it be towed with another tractor that far without causing any dammage to the rearend or transmission. Thanks for the information

Wish I could drive it, that's my goal is one day to be able to. The motor is froze up on it, I've been putting marvel in the cylinders for about a month now, but to no avail. Thanks for all the info

Pour some ATF into cylinders and rock one the rear wheels when its in 4th gear. You may need to jack up one rear wheel. Don't pull it in gear as you can damage the gear train.

You may be able to have someone haul it, I would check around. Hal

Fri morning early, I am driving my M 35-40 miles. Pulling it won't hurt a thing unless the rear end is shot. Like the others said, just go slow and enjoy the scenery.

Elvin: If it's running, drive it. If you do as some suggest and tow it even below 15 mph, driving is still the safest by far.

If it's not running, build a tow bar. Not sure if Bob M is checking in this week but he has tow bar much like a wagon tongue, hooks to the two 3/4" holes on front of narrow front end mounting. He uses it to tow his SH behind his SM or vice versa.

Don't worry about transmission or rear end when towing. I was once coming out a side road, and what did I see go by but a Chrysler mini van, pulling a MH 33 using a car tow dolly. I turned unto the road behind him, followed him for about 25 miles at speeds from 50 to 60 mph. I really didn't follow very close as I was expecting tractor rear end parts to become air borne. At that point he turned unto the freeway. I learned later he was a clergyman and he towed that tractor 80 miles that day, 30 of it on the 4 lane, and he was passing most traffic. I still don't recommend this.

I would drive it. I drove a Super C 15 miles and
I had my wife to stay with me for awhile. I told her to head home since the tractor was running ok.

I have hauled them a bunch on Hahn Hi-Boy dolly's. at speeds of around 15 MPH. When I raised lots of tobacco this is how I moved my C that I cultivate with from one farm to another. That way I had my truck for emergencies and such. There is a special tow bar that will bolt to the front end also. It can be towed at slow speeds.

Why not drive it?
If it does not run, I would put it in high gear and block the clutch down (securely). This rotates all transmission parts for lube purposes. Especially if it has not run in a long time (more than a month) JimN

I hooked an H behind a truck, and down the road we went, speeds less that 10mph, no problems, just make sure the brakes of the tractor being pulled works or you could have interesting results when stopping
