My 1951 H has the shift pattern cast into the transmission cover near the shifter.

Does your 51 H also have the groove under the seat bracket?

My mistake, had my tractors confused. I was mowing the lawn with 1951 Super C between last post and this one, Super C has shift pattern and 1951 H does not. For what its worth I have a 1940 parts H and it doesn't have shift pattern either. My 11 year old daughter really likes tractors with the shift pattern cast on them.

Only the 1939s and a few very early 1940s.
