I have freind that had a 1256, when you run it for awhile it blow water out the around radiator cap. Does it have a thermostat that could be causing it to do that. Or could it be a headgasket. No water is getting in the oil. If it the thermostst where would it be?
Thanks in advanced, Eddie

...Take the thermostat out and put the housing back on.....run for a while and see if problem goes away..... if it goese away, get a new thermostat.....fill with 1/2 water,1/2 antifreeze.....sounds like it might be a good time to replace the cap.....

Check the simple things first.

Like all IH tractors, ya can't "overfill" 'em; they'll just blow it right back out first time you put a good load to 'em.

Also, is the cap okay?

Most likely the head gasket but I have seen a stuck thermostat do that once. Thermostat is in the thermostat housing, which is located on the engine end of the upper radiator hose.
