Hey guys, this didn"t work too well before in the classifieds so I"m gonna give a little shout out here if ya don"t mind. :)

Does anyone have a set of seeders for sale (2 at least) for my little tractor? How about a belly mower??
Maybe a set of discs????

I live in Louisiana and don"t mind traveling a bit "IF" the price is right! :)

Here's the deal,

I really don't know too much about the implements or what I need exactly. I know I need a set of discs for sure and I'm not talking about a huge set either, just big enough to pull behind the tractor to break up an acre or two of ground.

I need something to make rows with. I'd assume I need a set of plows or cultivators (?) for this.

I know I'd like some seeders. I don't know what the going rate is nowadays but I did run across some for an SA for $150 each back in 1998. (I didn't have a tractor or the need then)

As far as grass cutting I'd like to find a old woods or similar that is in need of some work. Even a good 3pt pull behind would be nice.

Any old junk or fixer upper stuff would be nice because I simply love projects.

Patrick: There are a couple of routes you can go, first would be find a 1 point fast hitch, then go fast hitch plow and disk. Then the problem comes with your mower, belly mowers don't work well without removing part of the hitch. Belly mowers also don't fit in well if your using the tractor for jobs like front blade, plowing, disking or cultivators. Problem is you have to remove the mower every time you do those other functions, and that will be a 3-4 hour change over every time.

You could go 3 point hitch for all of plow, disk and mower, even the cultivator. The change over would be quick and you wouldn't need to remove the front blade or at least the push frame for any of the rear hitch mounted implements.

I've been experminting with 3 point hitch to work in conjunction with my 1 point. There are photos of this in the YT gallery implement section. I have been using two 2x12 plows, one is 1 point fast hitch and the other 3 point hitch. I decided if my 3 point hitch would do quality plowing, that would be the true test. To date the 3 point plow will not match my 1 point plow for quality. It's close but not close enough for my liking. The bigger problem is I can't pull the 3 point plow as easily as the 1 point. That alone affects the quality of plowing. In the spring I intend to find a single bottom 3 point plow, and try to get more of the kinks out of my hitch. However I will not be satisfied until the 3 point plow works as well as the 1 point. Bear in mind I am damn fussy, maybe too fussy.

I noticed your e mail and will respond later today.
