How much do you have to change to take a mag off and put a distubtor on a M

"Magman will have the H/O coil. It is very easy to change, a 10 min job.

They will interchange easily make sure rotor is pointing to same place on both of them before removing and don t let anything move while they are off and they should both be in time. It has been a long time since I changed one out and my memory may be off on the timing part but I think they will only go back in 2 positions in time or 180 degrees off if nothing has moved.

because i have a M and a H and the H has a distubutor and the M has a mag..the mag is a rebuilt one..i want to do this because i am goin to use the M for pulling and i am goin to put a bigger coil and elcetorinc igention in it.

Stick with the mag, you can tweek it a little and it will do as good or better then a distubutor any day

Baxter,
Put a high output coil in yur mag and away you go. Few will argue that a mag has a better spark.

Why change it? For $150 you can get a rebuilt mag.
