What system does it have the old style open center or the PFC ????? If it the old style then remove the top link plate and get a trouble lite and look inside on the right you will see a arm (lever) comming up from the bottom and a arm (lever) hanging down from the top . the one on top has to be on the back side of the one from the bottom , it is wise to use a hook to pull the top one back and hook it over the other one as there will be heavy spring resistance and there maybe some real sharp edges . Now if it is a later model 1086 then it will have the PFC system and here it could be a 100 differant things so if that is the case then your at the dealer's mercey .
