I have had one for about 20 years with no major problems other than replacing a water pump. I used mine to work tobacco, veggies, and light odd jobs. It is more powerful and faster for field work than my 140. A 5 gallon can of fuel goes a long way in it. Maybe I have just been lucky as I have not had the problems that Hugh described. I have a feeling that it may be hard to find parts for them. I found replacement water pumps available from a Nissan forklift dealer.

Wally: Run the other way, they are no SA, 100, 130 or 140. Two of my friends, commercial farmers each bought 274s new. Today they cultivate their vegetable crops with a Super A and a 130 respectively. That 3 cylinder diesel is junk.
