Finally got my engine unstuck and pulled it all apart sleeves and all. Was looking at the rod bearing and they had a 030 stamped on them.Along with a lot of other numbers. This does mean these are .30 over standard doesn"t it. The cranks looks like it needs to be turned. But is not real bad. Is there any bearing over .30 or is that it. Don"t see any anywhere. What are my options on a crank? Have not looked at the main bearings yet. My crank measured out at about 1.715 at the rod bearing. Standard is about 1.750 so about .30 seems right. About what is a good price for turning a crank? or good guess.

Cant they weld new material and re-turn them? I've heard of them doing this to motor shaft where my dad works, with >500HP motors. do used good cranks really go for that kinda money?

I would have an auto machine shop to measure the
shaft. You are about .005" over the wear limit.
You should have .001 to .0015" clearance on your bearings so you will good oil pressure. Hal

Rods and mains are undersized when replaced/repaired .030 may be the limit on new undersized inserts. A used crank may be needed. JimN

Viktor,
Your parts manual will give the tolerances. I think the tolerance is .015 to .003 for the rod bearings. The mains will be different. Your parts manual will be the way to go. Gorden Rice and The Fordson House have shells of various sizes. Good luck.
