Has anyone ever seen a cab on a Farmall M?
I think I have a Farmall M spotted that probably has a 656 or 706 cab on it. Has anyone known of that to be a possibility? Your input will be greatly appreciated. This a the type of cab you enter from in front of the rear wheels not over the back axle. Pretty nicely done.

Here are some photos I took at the Temple, TX show this past October. Both tractors were early M's, 1939 or '40. Both had Lambert brakes and wide front ends. They would have been great restorations even without the cabs.

Back about 50 years ago one of our nieghbors had a cab on his M built out of 2 x 4s and corrugated tin. Sure was ugly but have seen a lot of December nights when I would sure have loved to have been in it.

We had a Hinker cab on our 300 farmall for a few years. It was the 1100 model I believe and was of like a 856. We had to modify it some, looked big on there but kept us out of the elements for a few years while bloweing snow.

I have seen several that wewe top drawer efforts. The key is to adapt them while maintaining the integrety of the work station on the tractor. Seat position, height, and working relationship to controls. (ask Allen in NE) JimN

Ive seen more than one M with a retro-fitted cab, and I've even seen an H with a cab. What I would really like to see is an M with a factory installed cab. It was available.

Hi, My uncle had an original cab for an M. It hung in his corn crib for 40 years, said it was so noisy he couldn't stand it. After he died it was sold at auction, have no idea were it went.
