I am currently looking at possibly buying a C. If I purchase it I will need to install a 3-point hitch. The tractor is a 1948 (serial no. 5188). My question is I can't find anywhere that I could hook up a hydraulic line. There are no connections anywhere that I can find on this tractor. Please help! Thank you!

Saginaw is the best 3-point made. They will sell you a block that goes under the touch control lines on the reservoir, and a spool valve that mounts on the light bar. Kind of clutzy with all those hoses, but it works. The factory remote worked on the same principle, but used a control rod to go to a modified setup on the reservoir. Worksaver and others operate from the front rockshaft, with a rod going to the 3 point. Even more clutzy and won't lift as much as the Saginaw will. www.saginawcountytractor.com. The one for the C will not be on their website, but they do have them.

When I installed my Saginaw 3-point, I used the quick disconnects right off the valve, so that I could remove the 3 point when I wanted to use the sickle mower, which mounted directly to the axle. I got pretty fast at removing the hitch and back again.

Cap, I made the 3PH for mine, all together it cost less than 200.00 while the aftermarket kits were 700.00. It works great, wouldn't hesitate to start on a 100 acre field with it plowing/disc. ect. Here is a pic. I have more if needed. In this pic I used the touch control, but didn't like it so used a 3x8 cyl for the update. The touch control had enough power, but was to fast to do any fine work. with the cyl now it works much better. Later, Nat
